Now, for some Summer sneak peeks--we're really excited about this issue.
Have a good one wherever the Spring brings you,
Jaala
While the snow swirls down, the Knitcircus Spring issue's just about to pop up like a crocus, with lots of fresh colors for winter-weary eyes.
And indy yarn dyer Stricken Smitten's already giving you a chance to win free Spring Pattern Collections and even a year subscription to the Knitcircus Pattern Collection over in her Ravelry Group!
So that means Winter's almost gone--the Winter Pattern Collection, that is. This 24 hours before the Spring Go-live is your last chance to purchase all 19 knitting and crochet patterns for just $7.99.
I've got my Beckett WIP in my lap right now:
And Sweet Cicely...
Of course, Little Miriam...
Stay warm and safe, everyone, and enjoy the snow! Spring will be here before you know it...
Jaala
We're hard at work pulling the Spring Knitcircus together; it's going to be such a fun one!
Sneak peek ahoy...
More crochet, more kids, more videos...I think you're going to like it!
Hey there,
Susan B Anderson is generously hosting a Knitcircus Gifts giveaway on her Ravelry Itty Bitty Group! Celebrating more than 2,000 members--that's a lot of baby layette, hat, and toy fun! I just love all of her patterns, and wish you could all meet her in person-she's like grade A maple syrup; sweet and vibrant! If maple syrup was also a brilliant designer. :)
In Knitcircus news, we're rolling on into Winter: I'm so excited about these cozy-great designs for the chilly months.
A couple of hints:
In random fun news, the kids and I have been biking to school, and today I rode down a hill with no hands! It's been maybe a dozen years?! I highly recommend it.
Enjoy the day,
Jaala
Stitches Midwest, here we come! Tech editor Ada's already there, and Natascha and I will join her tomorrow! I"m so excited. Ada even made color-coded maps so we don't miss any of our favorite market stalls! Mary at WEBS mentioned that they've got the new Malabrigo at their booth...
If you're going to be at Stitches, please shoot me an email:jaala@knitcircus so we can say hi, and join us for a party in our hotel room Friday evening! Party, of course, meaning knitting, talking and noshing. We'll have party favors...
Ain't it cool news:
WEBS joined in the KC giveaway party! You can sign up to win free Knitcircus Pattern Collections on the WEBS blog. Yay!
Podcast The Electric Sheep talks about Knitcircus on her latest episode, too! I almost fell over when I heard she'd reviewed the magazine. And congratulations to her on making a splash on the Ravelry main page! If you've never heard her witty and entertaining podcast, you're in for a treat (and such a cute British accent, too).
Susan B Anderson has nice things to say about KC on her blog (probably because she's one of the sweetest people on the planet) and has news, too; she's opened a new Ravelry shop and has an interview up on Yarn on the House where you can not only enjoy video of Susan being lovely in person, but a chance to win a big yarn-full prize from Spud and Chloe!
Speaking of Spud and Chloe, ninja photographer Miz E and I did a shoot for the Gifts Issue yesterday, and here's a sneak peek that includes some luscious Spud and Chloe Sweater yarn...
Okay, off to pack. Wonder how many knitting projects I can fit in my rolling suitcase?
Hey, if you've been thinking how fun it'd be to knit Summer patterns like Holiday, Scatterling and Pavonia, now's your last chance to purchase the Summer 2010 Pattern Collection before the big Fall Issue go-live on Wednesday!
The Fall issue, packed with 24 knitting patterns and a sewing pattern, will be released Wednesday morning, so watch for a notification in your inbox for all the Autumn-y goodness, or sign up for the mailing list (top right on the blog sidebar) to get in the loop!
We're celebrating the biggest-ever issue with a Giveaway-Palooza: Knitcircus columnist Wendy Johnson of Wendy Knits kicks it off on her blog Wednesday with five Fall 2010 Pattern Collections and two subscriptions to win! Designer Michelle Miller, otherwise known as Fickleknitter, will be right behind her with a giveaway in her Fickleknitter Ravelry group!
The next six weeks will bring giveaways for Pattern Collections, subscriptions, knitting and sewing books and luxury yarns from Handwerks and Sun Valley Fiber Farm, to name a few!
